Peace Sign Morel Shirt, Cream Cotton
Another NEW One that's been rolling around in my head for awhile. I think I consider myself a pacifist; I'd have to formally think about that for a minute, but it's at least a 98% sure thing. For ages I've been thinking about some type of mushroom x peace sign drawing and this seemed like a nice 60s throwback, folksy response to the prompt. The chunky lines and bright inks make me think of hand drawn, old timey silkscreens from the 60s & 70s––see Fillmore posters and West Coast artist Earl Newman. It's also good advice to go along with "Eat Mushrooms Don't Kill People", we should all do a little more wandering in the Woods and less scrambling around––physically or mentally––with other folk. So get on out there next time you're feeling a little punchy and ethically harvest a little food from the wilds.
Oh, if it isn't clear the viney, leafy plant matter surrounding the Morel mushrooms are blackberries. You can eat those too, and here in Oregon the invasive ones are everywhere. Really trying to drive the "foragin'" part home with a second species from a whole different Kindom thrown in there.
Cool fact: the Brown in this tee is made by printing the neon pink over the top of the neon green. They are semi-transparent water based inks and depending on the color you're using you can get some nice third colors by overlaying them.
This Morel Shirt is printed with water-based inks in our Oregon Studio on a Cream, 100% Cotton, Made in US tee.
