I've been ruminating on ways to pair mushrooms with the other members of the ecosystems they interact with and exist within. The first iteration of this––though the Court Morel drawing is really a precursor to the concept––is this tee! The drawing has a big ol' Boletus edulis, or Porcini / Porcino, mushroom surrounded by animals that eat them; Blacktail Deer, Pleasing Fungus Beetle and Banana Slugs. I wish I could say it was intentional, but once you see the female body in the porcini cap, that my wife pointed out to me, you will never unsee it––sorry not sorry?
